"What a pleasant surprise to see a beautiful restaurant along the Hudson River. It's pristine. You get a modern cabin feel when you walk in with the waist height windows to see the gorgeous view. The food is phenomenal. To start, we shared a pitcher of white wine sangria. We ordered the 3 appetizers: crab cake, charred octopus, and smoke salmon. Delicious. Brunch favorites: burrito, French toast, chicken & waffles. If I had another stomach, I would've finished everything. The atmosphere was great, and I left with a full heart and stomach. Highly recommend. They were hosting a baby shower next to us, too."

"This was our first time experiencing Half Moon here in Dobbs Ferry and it was a magnificent moment. Xavier made the dining even better with his service and detail. The Baby Back Ribs, Crab Cakes and the Buffalo Wings were on point and then my Strip Steak was served to perfection. Ask for the Mashed Potatoes, you will be pleased. So I know I will be back at this establishment sometime soon. The view of the Hudson just adds to the ambiance!"

"Located right on the water, this place has so much more to offer than just great views. We came for brunch, and the food was simply amazing. I had the French Toast with a side of bacon, and it was fresh, tasty, and very filling. I particularly liked that they did not skimp on the whipped cream. Many in our party had the Belgian Waffles which also was a huge portion covered with fresh fruit. Service was friendly and attentive. As a bonus, I was really impressed with the photography skills of our waiter, who took great shots of us from multiple angles. Great contemporary atmosphere makes this an excellent choice for both families and couples. Highly recommend for a more upscale dining experience."

"The atmosphere is very chill, dimly lit in some areas, which contributed to the feeling that you were the only ones there. We had the octopus appetizer, which was very tasty. We had the steak frites which was absolutely delicious. It looks like a favorite because I noticed alot of people ordered that. We also had the filet mignon that had this really good sauce that accompanied it. I'd definitely go back there, maybe in the summer months where you can sit outside with views of the Hudson. I recommend!"

"Sometimes you forget how amazing the food is because of the stunning view. You will never go wrong if you come to Half Moon for the atmosphere or food. 5 stars hands down. Perfect place to sit down and enjoy your meal. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles on the brunch menu."
