"Came for brunch and had a great experience. They have live music every Sunday, and the duo playing was excellent and really added to the French bistro ambiance. Our food was delicious - would highly recommend the cauliflower appetizer and burger. We will be back to try their dinner menu soon!"
"Bistro de Ville is a great place to enjoy high-quality dishes paired with top-notch wines and carefully made cocktails. The spirits selection is one where thought was clearly put. However, what makes the place extra special is its staff. The hostess, manager, waiters, and bartenders always ensure I have a great time. If you are in the area, check it out. I highly recommend this place."
"Overall, we came away slightly disappointed from the experience. We might swing by again to try their brunch options. We'd recommend a reservation for the weekend as the place was fairly busy. It did die down after 7:30pm but quickly filled up later from what I assume were walk-ins. Space was very tight. For drinks, we tried a few of their cocktails. A few hits and misses which is par for course in this area for us. The lemon gin cocktail was our favorite (4/5). For appetizers, we decided to try the cauliflower and flatbread. The zaatar cauliflower was delicious, seasoned and cooked well. I'd ordered this again next time (4/5). The flatbread was okay (3.5/5), but seemed pretty basic for the price (~18 dollars). Sausage had a good kick. The manchengo gave it a unique taste compared to other pizzas. For the entrees, we decided to go with the chicken + burger after reading all the reviews. The chicken was a miss for us (3/5). Flavor wasn't there and we'd probably prefer an actual vegetable side compared to the few pieces of "mixed greens" that came with it. The side of potatoes were the best part here. The burger was slightly better (3.5/5), it was large with a generous amount of fries. Fries were cooked well, no complaints there. The burger was slightly overcooked and the bacon overwhelmed some of the bites. The meat/aioli left a peculiar aftertaste. For dessert, we wrapped up with the pot de creme and chocolate mousse. Seperately they were good, but they went so well together. We finished it at home with a cup of coffee and would definitely get the two together again. (4/5)"
"Just no! 4.8 stars? Must be fake reviews because this place is just NO. It’s not French, food is bad!!! And 3% kitchen fee (which no one can explain) is added sneakily to your bill. NOT worth $200-300 for sure! And even if it was free, I would not recommend. Below is the breakdown . Food: just bad. - Duck meat was flavorless, simply not even enough salt. And duck breast skin was burned. Came with gratine potatoes clearly premade and microwaved, because it was warm inside but the cheese on top was cold. Bad!! - chicken was OK (small portion), it came with few leaves of spinach thrown to the side from a grocery spinach bag/box. It was pathetic to look at, you can do better at home. - Mashed potatoes: dry and flavorless. No salt either. How can one ruin such a simple dish?! Mind blowing bad!! - Flat bread is not really a flat bread. It’s more like white pizza with bad /wrong cheese on top. The best part was spice lamb sausage on top and the crust itself. Not worth $18. - Oyster were OK but it felt not right that they say “west coast” and don’t specify the type of oyster. BE AWARE: they add 3% kitchen fee. What is a kitchen charge?! We asked the waiter and he was stumbling apologetically and couldn’t explain. Service was ok not great. Ambiance ok, the light is a bit too white and bright, can’t really hear the music. Simple decor. It’s very blah and definitely not French. So to call this French bistro restaurant?! NO. It’s feels as someone decided to make money assuming that affluent Scarsdale community will pay whatever price, so it feels like hit and run type of a place. Shame."
"Amazing food, great ambiance, fantastic menu, good wine list at reasonable prices. Great service and a lot of fun! Dish highlights: Mousse de canard, Fattoush salad, Nicoise Salad, Canard, Poulet (mashed potatoes are to die for!!), Steak Frites, Cherry Clafoutis. Bistro de Ville uses top quality meats and fish and the prices are quite reasonable!"
