"Our main dishes took over an hour and a half to come out after ordering (we were there for almost 3 hours), everyone else in the restaurant who got sat after us got their food before us, and when my dish came out (scallops and mushrooms) the mushrooms were cold. After asking the waiter if there was something else they could make quickly since my meal was cold, he suggested I could order a salad. Instead, they offered to reheat and replate the dish, but in doing so they overcooked the scallops. It would be understandable if they were really busy, but they weren't. I think the waiter forgot to put in our order and made excuses that the kitchen was really backed up, but everyone else got their food before us."
"I came here with my mother before a theater show at the Rep and was really pleasantly surprised. The entrees are very reasonably priced (most under 30) and a really excellent wine list if you’re in the mood for a bottle. The bone marrow we ordered was a little cold but otherwise delicious. The entrees were just fantastic though - not too salty, very tender, excellently cooked."
"First time trying this spot out. It is inside a hotel. No ramp from what I saw to enter. Had to carry stroller up the stairs and no handicap button to push open doors. Restaurant is very clean and upscale. The service took too long and the staff look miserable. Ordered the French toast and it was DROWNING in butterscotch. Had I known, I would of said just drizzle it because it was too sweet. Scrapped it off just to eat. The potatoes were very good! Also ordered a bacon egg and cheese with fries. The egg on the bacon egg and cheese was over easy and the bun was soaked in yolk. On the menu it states "fried egg." I would not return nor feel it was worth the price."
"Great service, great atmosphere… Had oysters on the half shell and fries with a vinegar aioli… fantastic appetizers. For the main course I had the lamb ragu. While the pasta was cooked properly and there was a good balance in flavor, the lamb was extremely tough. Bit in to a dime size shard of broken bone, I don’t hold this against the restaurant… that can happen. Good but not memorable. Great place for cocktails, snacks & starters… but the main dishes need to be improved."
"Second time here and hasn’t disappointed yet! We got the ricotta and bread as a starter along with tomato soup. I got the avacado toast with an egg and everything but the bagel seasoning. The mimosas were great, but pricey-spent 14 on just one. I would definitely recommend to anyone for a hearty brunch in downtown Nee Haven. People are very friendly!"
