"I was In Need of a new pair of skates as I’ve had my skates for the last 10 years.. My first thought was to visit pure hockey in Smithtown upon entering there they decided to automatically put me in a size fit machine made by Bauer that told me that my foot was a different size than what I’ve been skating in for the past 20 years of my life they proceeded to try to put me into a scared that I was not comfortable and so I decided to leave I don’t remember that Cozys sports has always been good to me my whole life let me go check out the dixhills location…From the minute I answered I was greeted with nothing but respect and everything went great I was fit in the right way WITHOUT a machine and hooked up with one great deal to make the end of my ear so much happier! I would always recommended going to cozzie sports for any of your hockey needs.. They will take their time and take care of you the right way. Especially when it comes to buying new skates they will make sure that you fit the skate the right way by monitoring you while you try it on and walk around the building.. Truly a great experience"
"Friendly rink. Could be pricey but is discounted if you have a Town of Huntington rec card(card is free for residents). Ice is in good shape and employees are helpful. The parking could be annoying if you do not get a spot out front-then it's a trek to the lower lot. They section off part of the rink during public skate for 1 person getting private lessons which is a bit absurd because it gets crowded."
"I would give 4.5 if I could. The facility is amazing, two great rinks. My only peeve is when they section of a part of the ice to hold a practice for 3 hockey players. Why can't this be done during hockey practice or ANY other time than public skate session. It's a little crowded with kids and would be nice to use the full rink. Seems like this happens every other time I go there. Still, it blows other rinks away in my opinion."
"This rink has two sheets of ice and is usually active with hockey, figure skating etc. There's an ample some lobby with televisions, concession stand and pro shop. The parking leaves alot to be desired. There is a lot right in front of the rink entrance. It can hold about 60 legally parked cars. I say legally, because we're long Islanders and we're entitled to park right?!? On most hockey practice nights, this main lot is a nightmare. If you can't get a spot here, you're going down the hill and making that trek back to the rink."
"The ice rink is great! I take figure skating lessons there, so I have my own skates. Although sometimes I take my little sister, and the skates she gets are not sharpened, and even one the actual skate was broken. But other than that, its great!"
