"Had work done on my truck a few years ago, and just found out through my dealer that they never used the hardware that holds the fog light bezel to the fog light housing. Four missing self-threading nuts. The bezel was banging around and driving me crazy. Simple, overlooked, but not cool."
"What a positive experience. My car was damaged during the last storm. Since this was the first time I had a tree fall on my car I really did not know what to expect. I contacted my insurance company and I contacted Coynes and the only thing I had to do was drop off my car. The staff at Coynes provide superior customer service. They made a difficult situation so easy to deal with. I can't thank them enough. Ann Marie"
"I would give Coynes Shoreline Collison a half star. (Long story short for those that don't want to read, I dropped my car off January 2 and got my car back February 1 for a 9 day job) I took my car here because a car swiped the side of my car on November 15. Since they were at fault, I used their insurance's suggestion (Coynes). There are a series of bad things about this establishment from their customer service to their "finished" jobs. I called to make an appointment the week of the accident and they were booked until January 2. I took my car there and they said it would be a 9-day job. They were going to replace one or both doors and buff out the scratches on the bottom panel. I messaged them January 11 to get an update (I told them I needed an estimate so I could figure out plans the following week) and they responded by telling me they lost 2 days with the snow storm (completely understandable), yet it wouldn't be ready until the end of the following week "at earliest". I contacted them again at the end of the following week because I hadn't heard anything (January 19) and they said my car would be painted next week and should be ready "end of next week, early the following". I contacted the insurance company and told them how Coynes had my car for almost 3 weeks at this point. I got a call from the insurance company on January 25 telling me Coynes said my car was done and I should have it today. No call from Coynes that day. The following day, Coynes called me twice around 3:45pm day and told me my car was ready and to come pick it up but they are only open until 4pm. They also emailed me to tell me I could come pick it up after hours, which I agreed to do. I get there at night and see there are scratches, unfinished buffing jobs, and black paint on my blue car (all in the dark, so pretty obvious). I left my car there. I emailed them and CC'd the insurance company telling them the job was not complete and did not hear back until after the weekend (since they are not open on weekends). On Monday, I received a short voicemail in the afternoon saying they can't get into the car and can't do anything until I drive over there (40-minute round trip for me). There was no explanation or apology for the poor job that had been "finished". I dropped my keys off after they had closed. Then 2 days later, they call me and try to tell me to pick my car up after hours. I declined because I didn't want another trip to be disappointed. I went to pick it up the following morning (February 1) and inspected it. I still saw black paint, went inside and asked the people at the desk what happened. They went and got the manager whom came out and indeed confirmed there was black paint on my car. He asked if I wanted to wait for his employees to fix it. So 20 minutes later, it is fixed. I asked him why my car was not finished and he said he didn't know because he was not there. He said he didn't like giving cars back at night when no one is there (yet both times I was asked to pick my car up at night). He tried to make this all better by saying if there are any issues with the job after I get my car washed in the next 6 months, I could bring it back and it would be fixed for free. They said they replaced the rear door and buffed out the rest. I got a card in the mail a week or 2 later that was generic and typed up with just my name hand written saying thanks for my business. Overall, I am so disappointed with the overall customer service, lack of communication, and service itself. The job was given to me incomplete... twice. And it seems like the communication between employees is not that good. I would have been much less upset if they kept me updated on how long it was going to take, apologized and provided an explanation as to why they tried to give me my car back in bad condition twice. I wanted to write this review to inform others of my experience in an informative way (if I wrote this when I got it back, it would not have had plenty of explicit words)."
"Just brought my car to Coynes to get repaired after an accident; I was referred to them by my parents who have used them several times. They worked directly with my insurance to setup an appointment with the adjuster and keep the claims process moving. They set me up with a rental car from enterprise, which arrived within 15 minutes of dropping off my car. They began work on my car the same day of the adjuster's inspection and the girls in the office were great about following up with me on my car's status. I just picked up my car yesterday and it looks fantastic- they did a great job and it is sparkling clean which I did not expect. I highly recommend Coynes- thanks guys :)"
