"Like any treasure chest, it can be elusive…The Red Barn may not be open at it’s posted hours (currently Wed-Sat 10-1pm) but it is still one of my favorite stops in the area. The merchandise moves quickly so what you saw last week is probably already sold this week…. And if you know of any shop that will take a check, or take your IOU, please be sure to shop there, too. Mary is a spark of love and merriment -she is well-named. I hope you can call ahead, or take the chance they are open, and hope too that you enjoy your visits as I have."
"The discount building was very fun to browse. Great prices! Helpful friendly staff. The main building was a bit pricey but still nice to browse. First time visitor . I will be back."
"I am from the area. I love the staff here. Always so helpful and just great people. I frequent all the NYC thrift shops and I still must say that the red barn is my favorite second hand shop on the map!! Unfortunately they are not that great about following their hours but I still give five stars because all the workers are volunteers. If you are driving from far away maybe it’s best to call ahead."
"I went on a Friday because the website said it was open... got there and it was closed... had a hard time finding where to park.. went back next day... found out where to park... drive about 30 minutes to get there... and i must say i was very disappointed... i could go on but basically i think they forgot they were a thrift Store... and were charging ebay/retail prices... Dont rush to get there!!!"
"I arrived at 2:30 on a Saturday from New Hampshire. It was a 3 hour drive and a group of my friends and I came here before a concert. No one seemed to be in so we drove and extra half and hour just to come to the store and it was closed half an hour early. Disappointed"
