"We were passing through, and stopped for a walk along the Short Trail. Spooky Halloween decor was on display. Please wear strong insect repellent, as we pulled 15 ticks off our clothes. The shoes were treated with Permethrin, and we did our best to avoid tall grass."
"We did the Whittmore area. The trails are very well marked but portions poorly maintained. Parts are under water, necessitating detours into the woods, some are blocked by downed trees, again meaning you need to go cross country. If the trails were better maintained it would be a much better experience."
