"Maybe I came at the wrong time, but their shelves seemed to be empty of a lot of items. My husband wanted to look at the models, but apparently they don't carry that any more. The store itself is clean, and the workers are friendly and parking is easy"
"I love Michaels. I went to Michaels to pick up a few items. All went well. One item I needed spray paint is under lock and key. After finding the lone Michaels worker, she helped and opened the cage for me. I go to the cash registers and am met with a giant line. Two registers are manned, and six are self-checked. Of course, all six are empty. I decide to take one, and others follow. During my self-checkout experience, as I navigated this HORRIBLE experience, I had to hit the button for help because they needed to check ID when buying spray paint. After a few minutes, I abandoned my self-checkout and returned to the line to waste another 10 minutes. Finally, at a manned checkout that went smoothly, no ID was required, and finally, I had to ask for a bag because I am not an octopus, which was .35 cents."
"Micheals is a pretty decent craft store. Was not happy on their selection of craft christmas items. They were out of stock on a lot of stuff. Their other departments I looked through were stocked ok. Cannot tell you how customer service was because I saw no employees while walking through the store, and went through self check out because they only had one cashier, and the line was extremely long."
"I came in to exchange a skein of yarn- I bought the wrong color when it had gone on sale and simply wanted to switch it out based on whatever their protocol is to maintain their inventory counts. The associate told me that Michaels doesnt do exchanges unless the item is damaged and I request the same item, same color. I told her that didnt make sense because I'm willing to get the same brand skein of yarn but just a different color and all the colors from this brand are priced the same. She was adamant that they cannot do that so I asked to speak to the manager who was just as rude. You'd think I was trying to steal from the store. So customers beware: if you're going in to get exactly what you need, the store is great but if you want to exchange something, prepare for it to be a 30 minute ordeal with rude service. It's no wonder why they've replaced most of their registers with self check out. Good grief."
"This is a really good store. Well organized, clean and well stocked except for one thing I wanted (Model Tree Foliage supplies) ... but come to think of it, i don't think Mike's has ever had that stuff."
