"If you’re looking for quality e-bikes, then you can not go wrong with Spark Cycleworks. I went up for a visit from out of state and they answered all my questions, let me test ride their signature Bandit ebike/emoped, and even got to build it with them to my liking! They have a few other e-bikes that are more entry level but for someone like me that’s been looking for something with more power I’d definitely recommend Spark Cycleworks and their Bandit!"
"I was lucky enough to get a voucher through the CT e-bike incentive program. Spark Cycleworks had a few models I was interested in so I went to check them out. They took all the time needed to show me everything about the bikes, test ride whatever I wanted, answered any questions. I never felt pressured into buying anything or got the feeling like I was bothering anyone. He even showed me around the shop where they build custom bikes as well. Using the voucher was painless and the transaction was smooth. If you're looking for an Aventon, do some research online and then call these guys. Highly recommend. Thanks Spark Cycleworks, A new ebike guy"
"Where do I start? Zero communication once they get your money. $500 cancellation fee. $1000 restocking fee. Every excuse is about being understaffed but they are taking trips around the country to show their bikes while costumers are waiting past the promised fulfillment date. All this could be forgiven but then they installed the shocks backwards and didn’t properly calibrate them or test and got a flat on my first pothole. The back fender is sharp as a knife and placed in the worst possible spot. Chain guide was sticking out rubbing the tire raw. Of course they blame everyone including UPS but the device wasn’t tested properly. Had to contact their Instagram page just to get a response from their secretary Colin who doesn’t feel black people deserve good products. He promises to send a tire and never does. Tries to blame the courier even though they clearly rushed the build in between trips to NY to ride in wagons for some odd reason (literally check their Instagram.) Just buy a super73 and call it a day. Sheesh…. *They clearly have no respect for their ethnic costumers. Even in their reply to this post they don’t speak to me. They speak to others who might read this. Attached is a photo of the shock that doesn’t have the dial with numbers visible for calibration. I don’t know a whole lot about shocks but the other one has the dial information clearly visible. It was not installed properly and the fender wasn’t bent by the carrier. Immediately after posting this they coerced some local bipoc people to post at the same time. Reputation over authenticity. Meanwhile I still haven’t gotten clarity on my shocks and the kickstand fell apart. Which they’ll blame on someone else as well. *Now as retaliation for this review they are refusing to get me the parts I need to make this lemon rideable. Remember there are a number of things proprietary because of the unique shape of the frame. Good luck with guys. Sheesh. $3000 straight to the garbage."
"The people at Spark Cycleworks are amazing and my Bandit “eMoped” is even better! They helped me get going with dual battery set up and were are always a quick DM away when I had questions about customizing my mirrors. Plus the community of bandit/spark riders I’ve connected with over Instagram has been awesome. They’ve given me a lot of great ideas for how to customize my bike in the future!"
"To say I love this bike is an understatement, it has completely revolutionized the way I commute and explore living in a metropolitan city. It is fast enough for me to dodge out of the way of motorists not paying attention to the road and is versatile enough for me to cruise and pedal alongside analog bikers on trails. Colin and Matt built my bike back in late March of 2021 and it’s built to last. Out of now 1.5 years of having this bike with nearly 4000 miles on it, I’ve only had one mishap on my end. A flat tire because I didn’t know anything about tire pressure. The Spark Cycleworks team is doing something different. You’re not just a number to them, they care about the rider as well as their machine. They’ll check in with me even after all of these months of owning the bike to still ensure it’s performing to peak performance and send me upgrades without even asking for them! Purchasing this bike was the best decision I made in 2021 amid a pandemic. It got me outside, exploring my city, finding a community of electric enthusiasts, brought me life long comrades (Matt & Colin included), and most importantly lowers my carbon footprint. I will be a lifelong customer to Spark Cycleworks!"
