"A group of 3 friends and myself rented a kayak and paddleboard today from Savin Rock Surf Shop. It was a great time! Kevin was friendly and he waited patiently as one party was late to arrive. He advised renting kayaks because of the wind, so I took him up on that and the rest braved the paddleboards. It was their first time, so he gave them a lesson on how to use the boards. We then took them out and had a great time! We wish we had done this earlier in the summer so we could come back many times!"

"They have everything you need for the beach! We rented Stand up paddle boards. Kevin was so helpful making sure we got the concept of how to actually stand up and went over safety. Price is right, beautiful beaches and a great day on the water."

"VERY rude staff. Not welcoming at all. Was called names under the employees breath and the equipment wasn't even good quality. They are NOT family friendly and the attitudes are horrific. I'm not trying to be mean, but very HONEST! For a small and new business, they are not doing things right. I do NOT recommend going there. I usually never write a review but I feel like the west Haven community should know. It is a great location and a great idea. I just wish the people who bought it knew how to run it. Sorry."
