"I walked into this business 3 months ago with my husband and I should have walked right back out. As soon as you walk in there's a whole bunch of chaos because there's so many different businesses in one small office. Everett was of course very nice the first time, so he can earn our business. He promised to always be available if we need anything or have any questions and this held true 1 time. A month after doing business and not receiving the proper tax refund, my husband and I have been trying to call constantly and no answer. It was so bad we got worried and thought something bad had happened to the guy. One day I decided to call from a different phone number (one he wouldn't recognize) and all of a sudden he answers. When he found out who it was, he said he was really busy but would call back. Weeks later, NOTHING. SIR, half of the tax refund we were guaranteed is missing. Did you take it? Did you mess up? Why is it so difficult to get ahold of you now. Will never do business here again and will recommend everyone I know to stay away from this tiny scammy office!"

"The absolute worst client service I have paid for. I filed in early April and it took them nearly a week to file a simple return (the excuse was they were busy). I literally spend three days in a row here for at least an hour at a time each and still nothing. After finally getting "filed", I picked up my paperwork which stated everything was done. After realizing that my W-2's were not returned to me, I contacted them and was questioned about my payment, and once I begin paying them I can come in to retrieve them. Although I didn't appreciate the approach, I obliged. Two months later I begin to follow up on my returns to find out what the delay was. After contacting the IRS they advised me that the returns were never filed (which Tax Associates claims that the IRS "Just says that sometimes") I returned the next day to Tax Associates to rectify the situation, spending almost an hour in there, again (I was the only client present at that time.) After following up with the IRS the next day, they confirmed that the taxes had been filed for the first time the day prior (which Tax Associates vehemently denies). The state had the same story, so I doubt that they are "lying". Tax Associates received my refund on July 12th and still has not advised me that the return was even sent to them. When I followed up with them, the excuse I received was that they have been out of town. They put me on a three way call with their financial institution who promised to email me paperwork to send me a check (since they had it sent to their RAL account). I am not a business owner, or a rich man. My taxes should not be complicated to file. $300+ dollars later and I STILL haven't received my hard earned money, nor have I received a sincere apology. Just more excuses. Update 8/3: I have still not received correspondence from Santa Barbara Tax Product Group regarding the paperwork to have the check resent. Contrary to what Mr. Waters stated, the State of NY did confirm again today that the check was indeed forwarded to a RAL account to the financial inst. of SBTPG (Cibista Bank). After contacted SBTPG and providing the information on the Tax return, they stated that the ZIP code registered is not correct."
