"Bought a few fluke rigs at a trade show in February 22’ on long island (as I fish in montauk) and was very excited. However the barbs on the hooks all broke. Switched to my “go-to” and no issues (they use gamakatzu hooks). Maybe if they switch to those and charge a little bit more for better hooks they would be better rigs. They way they are, I wouldn’t buy again. If they made that change I certainly would buy again as those did get more “hits” and was very happy. However, no barbs means I couldn't land the fish. I do have photos of the broken barbs ok 3 consecutive rigs."

"Although this bait shop is out of the way, I truly liked the experience there. Not only is the owner very friendly, but they also have a great variety of bait. And is sometimes the only place that has certain bait available during the season when all other shops are tapped out. My husband and I love stopping there when we know that we are going to be fishing places with high traffic and the bait shop near there will be tapped out. In our opinion it is worth it to stop by this out of the way gem."
