"Martin had done my taxes since I got out of college. However in 2020 he apparently misfiled. Once being told of this as IRS is threatening my disability, Martin gaslit me and doubled down, trying to blame me for his misfiling. I have reported him for a fruad to the IRS and i suggest everyone recheck their filings because they are most likely wrong"

"Pratte did our personal and business taxes for years and we were generally pleased. 4 years into working with him we found out that he had been filing our business taxes incorrectly. We are an S Corp and he filed our Corp taxes on a 1099 form from 2012-2015. This was a huge mistake that resulted in hours spent dealing with the IRS and state and tons of money trying to correct. The fines we're upwards of $8k. He did correct the taxes, but refused to deal with the IRS on our behalf and we had to hire another accountant to review his work (which was still not perfect). I can understand someone making a mistake, what I'm not ok with is his inability to correct it and take responsibility. After the fact he told me that he doesn't do corporate returns. Just a total failure on his part. We're small business owners and when we screw up, you better believe that we take care of our clients. Stay very far away from this practice. I will be contacting the BBB on this matter as well."
