"I went there more out of curiosity than to buy anything. The store has real time checkout in the sense that the items are placed in your electronic shopping cart as you pick them from the aisle. There are several cameras observing you to make sure all items are recorded. The camera is also smart enough to recognize if you place an item back. The store was mostly empty. It was well stocked, the prices were not very high - somewhat lower than Whole Foods and a bit higher than Giant. My guess is that this new age concept stores from the e-commerce giant Amazon have not really taken off. The entire store had 2 staff. One to help enter (you need to scan the Amazon shopping app) and one at checkout for any assistance needed. Unfortunately there were fewer customers"
"I came here to return an item to Amazon, and decided to shop around afterwards. The return process was very easy-- I had my item packaged in the original packaging, but no shipping label or container. I only showed my QR code to the sales associate who scanned my code and my item and then I was free to go! As for shopping, you "scan in" when entering the store (the QR code is generated in the "In store Code" section of your Amazon App. Then you grab a green shopping bag and grab the items you need. When you're finished shopping, you scan your code at the exit gate and leave. No need to scan items, Amazon is able to generate your receipt and charge you from the camera footage (cameras are all around the store). I thought the items were a little pricey compared to Wegmans, but you definitely can't beat the convenience! The shelves were a little bare though, and I definitely don't think I would be able to get 100% of my weekly groceries here. Personally, I would only shop here if I lived within walking distance of this location, and/or combining a quick grocery run with an Amazon return."
"Pretty cool that we walked about a mile to get here with three hours left before closing time and were met with a brown paper bag taped to the door that said "closed shop". If you can't count on the store being open during open hours then I'm not sure how you can ever shop here. Edit: It's a nice store. The shelves get pretty empty sometimes."
"Great little grocery store. A lot of options for locals and those visiting from out of town. If one were closer to home, I’d sign up for Amazon One. Having said that, not an issue if you’re not a member. Checkout counter for non members. If you don’t want to pay for bags do bring your own. But when you walk in, fruit right up front. To the left working in u shape back to check out. Have your rotisserie chickens, pizza by the slice or full pizza, hot sandwiches, sushi, dairy/yogurt/cheeses, meats/seafood, cereals/deli meats, cookies/crackers/sodas, coffee/teas/sports drinks/freezer sections, cleaning goods/kitchen items, breads/donuts, then a separate section for wines/beer. Easy to find at the corner of Crystal Drive and 15th street. Happy shopping."
"July 9, 2022 Great staff right at the entrance to teach people how to shop. Parking Garage is underground right on site and parking is validated. The store is VERY small with a small selection, this shouldn't be used as a regular grocery trip. The pricing seemed pretty competitive. A giant slice of pizza was $2. This location was on the 2nd day and the shelves were already EMPTY. I visited around 3pm and the receipt took nearly 3 hours to be delivered to my phone and the receipt was correct. My biggest grief was the lack of products on the shelves. The meat and fish selection is TINY. Like I said, this is for quick grabs, not a real grocery trip."
