"I picked up a few cupcakes for NYE - gold cupcake with white frosting and sprinkles. The cupcakes were dry. Seemed like they were old and topped with new frosting. The Pantry’s pastries are always so fresh and delicious. First time with old, dry cupcakes."
"Been shopping here for years. This review is long overdue. Everything here is great and the service is excellent. If you’re in Fairfield, the Pantry should be your go to!"
"best salad bar (try the cabos dressing). awesome deli, prepared foods + sweets. always great service... i moved out of fairfield and still drive 40 mins roundtrip on the reg to visit the pantry"
"The folks at The Pantry did a fantastic job catering my Dad’s 100th birthday celebration this weekend! Every detail from planning; which I did over the phone long distance to pick up on the day of went smoothly and professionally! Needless to say the food was amazing ! The 60 or so people were well fed and the compliments abundant! I can’t say enough about the birthday cake! Everybody’s new favorite! Thanks again to everyone at the Pantry! "My experience at The Pantry is mostly specific to the first leg of my commute. I visit The Pantry 4 times a week in the mornings. Although I crave variety, I also appreciate the simple virtues of being a "regular." Most of the bakery staff knows me and what I order, which buys me a few precious seconds everyday. I don't just choose The Pantry because it's convenient. I choose The Pantry because the coffee is good and less expensive than anything close to the train. Because they are a grocery store and coffee is a side business, they price the coffee closer to what it is worth. I'd rather not talk about other aspects of the business. Suffice to say that the parking is not good, the selection is low relative to larger stores, and, despite what I said about the coffee, the prices are high. On the plus side, they make salads, sell fancy pants organics, and have a really cool cooler for certain produce. This "room" comes in handy for overheated walkers if you need to cool off."
