"Clean store. A little lacking in bagged, leafy greens with some being close to the expiration date if not expired. Most produce looks good, though, and plenty of the basic staples: bread, meat, eggs, milk, etc. Staff is friendly and usually close by to help, if needed."
"Significantly more expensive than other stores in the same area. Also they only offer paper bags in any weather they won't last refrigerated items disintegrate the paper after 5 minutes. The worst is they charge you for the paper bags so unless you bring your own reusable bag you're stuck with an armful of groceries."
"I never post negative reviews, but we’ve gotten spoiled food from here a few times and it is so disappointing. I don’t know what happened to this store, when I worked there many years ago they were always on top of things. First issue was when my son got food illness from spoiled (not expired) baby yogurt. The second time we noticed the yogurt had gone bad, the manager was great and pulled the product. Then, we got chicken breasts that had a horrible smell, but weren’t expired. We tried to return because food is so expensive now, but they would not honor because the package was opened. Tonight I went to pick up some turkey sausage from the meat department. I forgot to check the expiration date because I was in a rush. Unfortunately, my husband had to go back to Stop and Shop to return yet another expired product. This was almost a MONTH since it should’ve been pulled from the shelves…thank God he checked, because that was supposed to be part of my son’s dinner. Food needs to be checked and pulled frequently for expiration, but apparently that hasn’t been done in a couple of weeks."
"Husband just returned these bought 2 days ago Guy working at service Desk at 4pm on Saturday told him he didn’t see anything wrong with them! Imagine!! They look like raisins they’re SO OLD! Are you kidding me? He got a refund, BUT my husband came home SAYING SEE! “The guy couldn’t see anything wrong with them!” (since he purchased them in the first place) so THANKS FOR THAT!"
"The Stop & Shop is very good here. It’s a smaller but quaint grocery store compared to others, but only slightly. It’s a bit standard fare, a bit generic but don’t let that deter you from shopping here in any way shape or form, because it’s a good store, but a bit flat, to be honest,"
