"First, let me state I only gave it even 1 star because you can't post anything if you don't at least give it 1, otherwise I wouldn't have given them any. My husband and I will NEVER go back to any H and R block because of our experience at this location. We got our taxes done at this location in 2013 and 2014. The woman that did our taxes in 2014, attached my W2 from 2013 and submitted it to the IRS that way. This past summer, we received a letter from the IRS stating we owed them approximately $700 more because of this error, which made one huge mess for us because we already were on a payment plan because we owed taxes for 2015. We made an appointment to have someone look into the problem (at the time we got the letter, we had no clue why they said something was wrong). After going to the Seymour office in June of 2016, the woman that we saw (not the same that did our taxes) filed a claim and we waited for the outcome. We received a whopping $28 check for the interest that had accrued up to that date. When we tried to go back to talk to someone, we were told that no one at this location was available until after the 1st of the year. We went to a total of 3 other locations to try and speak to someone to help us and they all said the same thing which was we had to go back to the original office and talk to someone there. No one was available until this week. Not only did we get nothing done about it, we felt like we were thrown to the wolves with no contact with anyone from this office available whatsoever. We just got home from there, and we were told "I'm so sorry, but there's nothing we can do". Well I'm sorry, that's not good enough, and I'll NEVER go back to any H and R block. If I hire an electrician and he causes a fire because he did the wiring in my house but it was done incorrectly, would he have to pay for my belongings and my house because he caused the fire??? You know he would!!! So why aren't they responsible??? Oh and just an FYI.....couldn't complain to a manager because the manager is the one that did my taxes and made the stupid mistake to begin with. If I wanted my taxes to be messed up, I could have done them myself. That's why we paid $250 for the SHORT form to have them done by a "PROFESSIONAL". Jackson Hewett, HERE I COME!!!
