"Really disappointed in this store as far as online orders. I have placed many orders through Amazon Prime beginning during the Pandemic when it was a medical necessity and there was always a problem with the produce like celery or Broccoli being rotten, I actually submitted photos to Amazon and all they can do us refund but when it happens every single time they begin to think you are lying and just trying to scam them for refunds and it shouldn't be a problem like that more than once when you have spoken to the store and to Amazon and even sent messages direct to the shopper that say "please make sure my produce is fresh." Also, in the store itself the produce is often not that fresh or things are past their date, especially organics so you do have to check dates in things. But what is really a problem is online shopping will say you have 5 hours to place an order for a delivery window today, so you are placing things in your cart and suddenly it changes to say you have 17 hours for a delivery window tomorrow, nothing today is available now. I mean what did we jump some quantum timeline? Because 5 seconds turns into 5 hours? And so I select pickup so I can still get my groceries that I need today and that's not even available! Only pickups tomorrow are available. It doesn't make sense. It's only 3 pm so why are there no pickups available by 9pm? Did your shoppers quit? People with medical issues or no vehicle cannot just hop in a car and get to thw store so it's a major inconvenience when time frames just glitch out like that. Also the ice cream freezers are always on the blink. Sometimes everything in them is covered in ice and frost and rhe oroduct is freezer burned. They have had to several times sell out the stock at reduced prices and then the freezers were empty but they don't seem to fix the issue. All around disappointing experience."
"After being diagnosed with cancer I moved from Trader Joe’s to Whole Food several years ago. It’s my once or twice a week store. Always in early hours after taking the dog for a walk. I noticed how gradually the quality of veggies is sliding down. Now I have to choose a pack of fresh salads more carefully as part of them happens to be dead already, or a fresh cucumber completely soft on one end and needs to be cut off from the crunchy part of it, or there’s always empty shelf for something banal as carrots … or green cabbage.Papaya never becomes softer sitting on my countertop for days and eventually becomes rotten and moves to the garbage.. As I buy only organic, I check the shiny surface of apples, cucumbers and zucchini. They always have a thick wax cover which is no sense to remove as there will be something left anyway.. So I just peel it. Supposed to be the most nutritionally rich part and the best fiber . Hard to find 25 g of fiber if I peel all organic veggies trying to limit the army of toxins around and in the organic food we buy. Very different from European standards! And several months ago alarmed by the use of Apeel on organic produce, I called the store and was told to be given a call back from the manager. Never happened."
"Was excited to try these new sandwiches. However, they are ALWAYS days old and never freshly made. Today was a fresh one and to my surprise it was very sloppy. This should have been called the "arugula and balsamic sandwich" since that's what it mostly was. The bread was day old bread as well.. I wonder if the same person that makes the burnt pizza made these. You would never know because no one is EVER working behind that sandwich making area. Also, the only person that doesn't burn the pizza is the dude with the glasses. Speaking of glasses, the elder gentleman in the deli with glasses is an absolute SAINT. He is the nicest person that works in that area. Give that man a raise"
"The produce was fresh - especially the Bartlett Pears I purchased. The frozen salmon fillets are tasty. I really liked the honest replies I got to my questions of staff members. The pricing was much better than I expected. My only complaint? The difficulty I experienced reaching the store. The location isn't an easy one for anyone like me located in North Central Connecticut"
"The wide selection of organic and natural foods. The large selection of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The fresh produce. The high quality of the meat. The delicious and made-with-fresh-ingredients prepared foods. The friendly and helpful staff. If you're looking for a grocery store that offers high-quality, healthy foods, I highly recommend Whole Foods Market."
