"Pats Italian Restaurant in Coventry, RI, offers a commendable 8/10 dining experience. @patsitaliancoventry Growing up in an Italian household in Rhode Island, I am particularly discerning when it comes to Italian restaurants, often finding myself unimpressed with many establishments in the state. However, Pats stands out as one of the few Italian restaurants that I can genuinely recommend. With locations in Johnston and Coventry, Rhode Island, I prefer the dining experience at the Coventry location. I gotta tell ya that the design of the restaurant does not distinctly convey an Italian aesthetic. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior is clean and inviting, featuring a spacious seating area that also serves as an ideal venue for family dinner parties. The welcoming and attentive wait staff adds to the positive atmosphere. Pats offers an extensive menu with delectable options, ranging from the beautifully plated Veal Sorrento to the skillfully prepared Shrimp Scampi. The consistency in the quality of each dish, served in generous portions, reflects the chefs' dedication and love for their craft. Highlighted recommendations for appetizers include the Rhode Island Calamari, Mozzarella Triangles, and Italian Egg Rolls. For entrees, the Chicken Parm with Homemade Radiatore Pasta (substitute for pink sauce), Chicken Christine, Chicken Milanese, and Crispy Chicken Alfredo are standout choices. Although seafood and eggplant are not typically in my culinary preferences, my family raves about the vast selections available. Pats also introduces new specials each week, ensuring a variety of flavorful options. With a friendly and personable staff combined with a plethora of savory dishes, Pats Italian Restaurant guarantees an excellent dining experience! FOLLOW ME ON IG @IGTYFOOD"
"We went to Pat’s this past evening for an early New Years dinner and our server Christopher was both friendly and informative, the food and beverages were both delicious and perfectly timed, and a good night was had by all in our group! We are from the area and would recommend that the owner(s) advertise more around these parts—-we didn’t even know this restaurant was here if not for a good friend who mentioned the other location in Johnston. We don’t want to lose this wonderful establishment!"
"Last Sunday my family had my a small wedding reception dinner here for my brother and his wife. We were 50 people and fit very comfortably, especially with the way the tables were configured. Greg (owner) and Brian (manager) were a huge help and very accommodating, Lisa and Jen were amazing servers, and Chef Gilmar and his crew made the food delicious as usual! We had family calling and texting all week telling us how much they enjoyed the food and atmosphere and how they can't wait to go back to the restaurant again, especially for their italian eggrolls and stuffed mushrooms. We will definitely be holding future parties here! So pleased with the entire experience start to finish. Thank you Pat's for making a special day even more special!!"
"We did numerous take out dinners from the Johnston location during Covid. Only dined in once. Thought the food was great. Wanted to try the Coventry location. Made reservations for my wife's birthday. Our waiter was Victor. Seemed very nice. Ordered drinks. Took forever to get. Appetizers came right away.Dinners took quite a while. Waiter never came by to see if we needed anything like maybe another drink. I'm from Cranston . Don't think we'll be going to that location anymore. Probably stick to the Johnston location. Staff looked lost and it wasn't really that busy. It was 6pm."
"We had the most amazing dinner tonight. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. She gad the most sincere smile and was very nice. We were served right away the some tasty chewy bread. The fried calamari was the best we have ever had. Tender with the perfect blend of garlic and oil with pepper rings and grape tomatoes. We had the salad with a homemade house dressing that I could of drank cause it was so delicious. The chicken parm. was tender but crispy on the outside with a yummy sauce served with a delicious homemade pasta cooked to perfection, ooh so good! Then the moist carrot cake was drizzled with caramel and a dollop of whip cream served with a delicious cup of coffee. Absolutely the best meal we have had in a long time and all pleasurably served by a spectacular waitress. We will definitely be back!"
