"I had a poor experience a couple of years ago with Preston. He had been recommended by a mutual friend. I met with him briefly to go over my taxes (in which I brought all my appropriate documents and previous years taxes). He spent less than 15 minutes with me, but came highly recommended. I didn't expect a huge return, but at least something better than my previous tax guy. Preston did nothing that I couldn't have done with TurboTax. The following year, I went to him again and was not happy with my return and my experience. I decided to take my buisness elsewhere. I started seeing a new tax guy (one who charged less and spent appropriate time with me regarding my taxes) and he found errors in Preston's tax preparation which resulted in me losing money. I reached out to Preston and he didn't return my calls. It took me threatening legal action to get a call back. I told him I wanted him to redo the previous years taxes with the correct info. He agreed and then when he prepared it he listed under the reason why it was going to be resubmitted it was my fault. Now this could just be me and an isolated incident, but I don't think so. You could be the person he treats great but you can also be the one he screws over."
