"Miss Butler charged double what I and my wife have ever paid. $7000.We nevertheless paid within two weeks of billing . Presumably our return was filed at the end of September. On December 22nd I emailed her that I had not received my refund and when I attempted online to find out about that the IRS site said they had no record of my return being filed . THey suggested I contact my accountant for the email confirmation they send when receiving I'll return. I emailed Ms Butler about this but was ignored about the email confirmation. She wrote back that it was not unusual for there to be a delay when there was a large refund. In January I again tried to find out about my refunds this time speaking to an actual agent. She was very helpful and for 10 minutes searched for a record of my return. There was noneShe suggested refiling immediately since there could be a penalty for late filing. I asked Ms Butler to refile but was told the IRS is not receiving returns until January 29thThe IRS agent was mistaken. I called the IRS again and spoke to a second agent getting her badge number and name. She also told me to refile and Miss Butler was mistaken I wrote thisto Butler in an email which was ignored for a while then I was told that both of the IRS agents were mistaken I got pissed and told her so and said she doesn't want to get me angry. January 29th came and went and all of my emails were ignored asking whether she had refiled My wife emailed her apologizing for my rudeness. Butler said I had threatened her. I suppose that's partially true but certainly my threat was pretty vague. Anyway despite my wife's apology return has still not been filed"
