"I purchased 400 sq ft of reclaimed antique heart pine from Jarmak Corp. for a porch floor three years ago. It cost almost $5000 with shipping to New York State. It had knots and resinous grain, but I was assured ahead of time that kiln drying would prevent seepage. The wood was primed and painted, but localized seepage began almost immediately. I treated the areas with a heat gun, white-shellacked, primed and repainted them. Those areas remained ok, but others popped up over the next year. Those were treated the same way, but more spots came up later that summer and the next. I sought advice from the manager I dealt with but the best he could suggest was to apply "Goo Gone." By the third year I had put more than 50 hours into heat treating and repainting, with no end in sight. It became clear i would need to replace the floor (original installation was another $5000). I contacted the owner with a description and pictures. It was obvious that the wood had not been kiln treated, or inadequately so. He expressed surprise, but stopped responding to my emails when I requested some modest compensation. A real nightmare."

"We had a beautiful kitchen table made a couple of years ago, when we first moved to our antique farmhouse and recently had them custom build a bathroom vanity. Great work!"

"J was very easy to work with and accommodated our request immediately for additional wood. He was prompt and accurate with his delivery date and time frame. He provided us with a detailed history of where the wood came from. I would highly recommend Jarmak for any reclaimed wood project."

"I would only recommend if you are able to go to their business and hand pick the wood. We purchased reclaimed “premium quality” oak barn fence flooring that was shipped to us. There were many mis-milled pieces and ones that were too rotted or poor quality to be usable. There was even moss growing on one board. (I wish I could post the photos.) Additionally there were 12-20 pieces with damaged/split sides or crushed ends due to the terrible freight company they used (Roadrunner). Our installer had to do major sanding and patching to make it work for us."
