"Such an amazing house right on Lake Pocotopaug. This house was immaculate, warm, and had extraordinary sunsets to boot. The house was full of so many amenities, I could have stayed for weeks. "Lakeside Ferns and Marian are both SO wonderful. Marian was incredibly accommodating when we had to arrive earlier than check in (4pm) as we had a wedding that started at 3. She even left us incredible handmade cupcakes from a bakery in town— amazing! Finally, a friend left her coat behind and Marian shipped it to her. So amazingly thoughtful!! Thanks for everything, Marian! The house itself is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful foliage all around the lake, lake views from the living room and master bedroom, and a lovely backyard. They also have kayaks and canoes for you to use. The perfect getaway, I just wish we could have stayed longer! Would highly recommend staying here."

"By far the nicest most well appointed place I've stayed.From luxurious beds and linens to shampoos and lotions, even extra toothbrushes and personal items for the ladies, nothing was forgotten. You only need to bring your clothes and food, everything else is provided with a welcoming bottle of wine and a snack tray. Gorgeous setting and beautiful surroundings inside and out. The caretaker Robert greeted us upon arrival and was most helpful and friendly while not at all intrusive. Will most definitely do our annual girls weekend there again."
