Reviews of Lowe’s Outlet Store
"My girlfriend and I came here for the first time to buy a fridge, and Nigel made the shopping experience absolutely wonderful!! He was patient and answered all of our questions without being over baring (so basically unheard of for sales people!) All around amazing experience because of Nigel. Ask for him when you come!"
"Paid nearly 1400 for new stove. It arrived broken. This was not the stove we selected at the store. Classic bait and switch. Now I'm waiting for someone to call me to pick up broken stove. Don't know when they will call if ever"
"I went on a vacation a few weeks ago to Hartford, Connecticut and on the way there I stopped at the Meriden, Connecticut Lowes to pick up a mini-fridge for my camper because I need to install a new one. While I was there, this girl Emma helped me out. She was one of the kindest people I had ever met and she was extremely helpful. Lowes has done well having such a great employee working for them. More people in retail should aspire to live up to Emma's example."
"After I found out this place last year, I used to go visit here often after work. One of the staff remembers me and greets me and my wife with smiley face which I really appreciate it. Generally I had great experiences, until today. Long story short, my 4 year old Whirlpool washer broke all of sudden and turns out I need to replace the control panel after I figured out by myself. Since my parents have an LG washer since 1997 back in my home country, I decided to get one from LG. Besides, I missed the cycle finish melody - I used to have one before we left my home country. So, I decided to check the Lowe's outlet since I really don't care about the cosmetic issue. I asked them if I can test it out (drain cycle which won't need any water but to check if it spins without an issue) and they said no because only refrigerators can be powered on by policy which I understand. I asked them about the returning since last time I purchased something big from there, it didn't turn on so I got a replacement but it also didn't work. I was worried after spending 125 dollars for delivery but then it doesn't work - but the only answer was I can bring it back. I fully understand Lowe's policies, but then one of the employees said that she (I'm not gonna mention her name even though I remember) strongly suggesting getting Whirlpool or other brands she named because the are all made in USA and she guarantees the quality or something, but that LG and Samsung would cause only trouble. And I told her that I'm buying an LG one, my mom uses hers for 30 years now, and she said "really." Yes, really. My mom has been using it really without an issue, at least it didn't break down in its 4th year. Besides, go study more, Whirlpool manufactures their products in Mexico because it's of course cheaper there by USMCA which is NAFTA version 2. Any assembled merchandises should have more than certain percent (what I remember was around 60% to 80%, google it) of parts manufactured in the US or Canada, or Mexico. Other than that, they are considered as imported products which have high tax rate. Whirlpool is not stupid, they cannot manufacture product with low cost in America or Canada. Some still have in America but especially assembly-wise, which needs lots of workers, they do it in Mexico, okay? It's not like your expectation, made in USA but other countries. For your information, check the photo I attached. The first one says the control panel is made in Mexico, the second photo, do you know what it is? They are solenoid valves that turn on and off the water supply, and from China. Don't get me wrong, I love this country, I like more than my home country and before I left last year I had a great job and place to live. I just hate my own people and the society. US has given me better opportunities and fun to live. I'm talking about your opinion towards the customers. You didn't need to comment what's good and bad. Do you use iPhone? did you know that some of the chipsets and memories are manufactured your least favorite Samsung? You can say what you want to your friend and family. It's your job, whether you have it as temporary or not, be more professional. You used to be when I went there last time, my wife and I really appreciated your help but today was really not helpful. I don't think I would ever go back there. Oh, by the way, so I just ordered mine from Costco, not a big price difference but free delivery and installation just like any other stores such as Home Depot or Lowe's regular stores. This is my wife's comment. If she, the worker, was trying to give advice- it would be appreciated if we had asked for it. We had just arrived at the store and asked about trying the machines when she gave her opinion. This caused us to be immediately turned off by this location, which we frequently shopped at during the summer. Thanks to her demeanor and unsolicited words, we will continue to take our business elsewhere. We once spoke highly of this place to our friends and family, but now we will be warning them to stay away."
"I seldom leave 5 star reviews. But based on the pricing here, I had no option. I understand the items might not be in 10/10 condition, but at 8 or 9/10 condition, with a heavy discount, is unbeatable. If your that worried about quality, purchase the warranty, from all that your are saving. I purchased a fridge, washer, and dryer, all for the price of one fridge at a non outlet Lowes. The staff was super friendly. Came here early in the Am on a Sunday before the crowd."
