"There are no guarantees with refinishing vintage hardwood floors, but Valley Floor exceeded our expectations in every way. When I first decided to refinish our floors, I knew I had to be selective about who I hired given the state of the floors. 75 years old, never properly refinished, with surface stains, moisture stains, and black spots where nails from a carpet had rusted through. I vetted 6 or 7 flooring companies throughout CT. Several pushed me toward new hardwood, or didn’t even offer refinishing (only new installs). Their heart wasn’t in restorations.
