Reviews of Ring's End
"Even if it’s sometimes a bit more, I try to go to Rings end to support my local businesses and rings end always has friendly knowledgeable service by people who seem happy with what they do."
"Lumber delivery (AC plywood) arrived with mildew/water damage on all sheets. Quality control gone south for the premium prices (literally double or more). Don't think they get it; we don't pay those prices to get problems. You want mold in your house? Instead of just eating the cost, they pawn off subpar goods to the homeowner with sheets no one would select if they were picking them up in person. Assistant manager said he'd ship out new order but day later (read losing money on job site) or offered to comp me mold paint. Why did they ship them out in the first place? All this so they save a few dollars. Pathetic. Would have had done better at Lowes/ Home Depot for half the price. Lesson learned."
"Last week, I visited the store to purchase Trex decking. I was impressed by Trex's website, which allowed me to create a virtual representation of my project and provided a convenient shopping list. It even showed me the nearest retailers, and fortunately, one was located very close to me. Upon entering Rings End, I patiently waited for a moment as the staff seemed busy. Eventually, a friendly older gentleman approached me and offered his assistance. We went through my list, but to my surprise, he informed me that they no longer stocked Trex decking directly and obtained it through a distributor. Nevertheless, this didn't pose a major issue as long as I could still acquire the necessary materials. Unfortunately, when I tried emailing him the list, he didn't receive it. However, after texting it to his personal cell phone, we were able to proceed successfully. He explained that he would need some time to work on it and promised to get back to me. I emphasized the urgency of the situation since my contractor was already at the job site, and he assured me that he would call me later that day with an estimate. Satisfied with our agreement, I left the store. The following morning, without receiving any further communication, I decided to visit the store again. The same gentleman who had taken my order and promised me follow through, immediately recognized me and apologized, mentioning that their intranet was down. He assured me that he would contact me later in the day. (This was at about 9:00am) However, as the afternoon reached 3:00, I grew impatient and decided to call. Unfortunately, I was put on hold multiple times. On two occasions, I waited for so long that the automated system disconnected the call. The third time, a different employee answered but informed me that my salesman was unavailable and praised his ability to return phone calls. This only added to my frustration. Feeling disappointed, I turned to the internet in search of an alternative supplier. Luckily, I found Ridgefield Supply, which had the desired product in stock and provided excellent service. Regrettably, my experience at Rings End has not been a positive one. While purchasing paint from them has typically been hassle-free, dealing with them for other items has often left me with the impression that they simply couldn't be bothered to provide assistance to home owners, perhaps only contractors!"
"I can't believe the level of service I received at this location. It was OUTSTANDING!!! Jack is a true gem! A+++ I had called asking for help selecting stain finishes by trying to match a piece of flooring and told they had someone to consult with. When I came in I spoke with Jack who said he could help me. Jack went above and beyond to help me figure out the best stain color. He is so knowledgeable and willing to help, I couldn't believe it. His knowledge and service is the kind that makes you want to go back again and again because you know you are getting trusted advice, and impeccable service like they used to do back in the day of original hardware stores! I actually left the store feeling good about my choices and was pleasantly reassured about my flooring choice AND the stain finish selected. Jack's expertise and willingness to help, sets my experience at Ring's End Wilton apart from all others. This location is not the closest to me, but absolutely worth the extra miles!! Jaime in the paint/wallpaper section was just as friendly and helpful in her department. She offered me great information on window treatments and options for my new renovation."
"Interesting place as some staff are not as well versed with the product offerings. Paint department is very good."
