T. ROOTS

"I frequently go to T-Roots and for the most part I love it! The food is good and usually the service is friendly and polite. Occasionally, though, the owner - older man will treat me weird. I think he may have a bias towards black people. Once I was there he yelled at me about my mask and it just felt extra because there isn't consistent rules/guidelines that he upholds in the restaurant since I've been in there. Also, I dine in sometimes with my friend and he just gives off an unwelcoming vibe to us sometimes - she's black too. I guess two black people eating in there is just too much. Lol! I've gotten an attitude from him sometimes when he's brought out food - when I've asked questions that are not threatening at all. I ordered a dish that hadn't come out yet and politely asked about it and he got upset and told me to wait which I was happy to do. I just wanted to politely make sure they didn't forget it since they were busy. Sir, take a break if you're stressed or don't go into the restaurant business. Also realize that black people are keeping you in business so take some inclusion classes, Sir."

"This review is for my second visit to T Roots. I only had boba tea before, three years ago. This time we sat down for lunch. The hostess/waitress was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Chicken noodle soup. Unfortunately they didn't have radish dumplings. The flavor and the quality of the ingredients were all excellent. The blend of mushrooms and spices was just right. It was as good as my mom makes. I'm just sorry I didn't try T Roots sooner."

"Having recently come back from Taiwan, I was curious how these dishes tasted. The beef noodle soup tasted authentic and delicious. The noodles were nice and chewy. The dan zai noodles is a very traditional taiwanese noodle dish, tasted amazing, and it was filling. Albeit I didn't have dan zai noodles in Taiwan this time so I couldn't say how authentic it is. The egg omelette is a common taiwanese breakfast dish that I absolutely LOVE. It is like a rolled scallion pancake or crepe with eggs and pork/beef in it. I don't find egg omelettes and dan zai noodles in the US so it was a treat to find them here."

"Excellent and outstanding Taiwanese cuisine. Restaurant super clean and comfortable. Super helpful customer service. Menu has many diverse choices. I had the beef and red bell pepper fried rice and it was off the chart delicious. I also had the vegetable spring rolls for an appetizer and they also were fresh and delicious. The iced passion fruit green iced tea I had with my meal was also delicious and refreshing. If you visit Northampton in the Bay State you absolutely must visit T. Root for the best Taiwanese cuisine you will ever find anywhere. Super highly recommended."
