"Busy parking lot full ,checkout is always fast. I always find what I need"

"I am giving the store an extra star for having 4 cashiers at the checkouts. The trend of replacing as many humans as possible with machines is very disturbing to me. The entrance to the store is one way. I couldn't go back out to get a shopping cart/ carriage without an employee opening the door, annoying and probably a fire code violation. This could possibly be part of the store's logistical issues. There was a good selection of items, and I was able to find everything I needed. Something that is no longer assumed, as we seem to be suffering supply chain issues. The reason for the low rating is that something about the store or the way it is organized causes customers to block the aisles; either by being in the middle of the aisles or parking their carriage one side while shopping on the opposite side. This happens occasionally in all stores, but this occurred at least once in every aisle or area, (2 or 3 time in some aisles). I don't believe the shoppers are any different than anywhere else. Perhaps the aisles are a bit too narrow? There is a lot of clutter in the produce and meat sections as well as an awkward short, out of line freezer and mini aisle in frozen food. All the inventory in the world isn't as useful if it is difficult to access. I shared my opinion with the front end manager and let him know that I was unlikely to return."

"Not bad, we use this Shop Rite on occasions. I gave up using the Deli department as they are the worst in CT. Rude, lazy and couldn't care less. The other bad thing about this store is the 5-6 vehicles parked outside in the fire lane when there is ample parking 60 feet away."

"They are AMAZING!! I recently wanted to order a birthday cake for my 96-year-old great aunt living in a nursing home. I wanted to make her birthday special and thought she'd be delighted by a big cake she could share with friends and staff. I called one store and they wouldn't help me because I wasn't giving them 48-hours notice. I was saddened and worried that I would not be able to get this done. I then called Shoprite at Derby. It was amazing what they did for me! The gal in the bakery was incredibly helpful. I told her what I wanted and she was delighted to be a part of this. When I tried to pay for the cake, she said I couldn't pay for it over the phone. I was devastated because I live in a different state and didn't know what to do. She then got the manager Hasan on the phone. I explained my dilemma to him and he gave me options of how to pay. He went above and beyond and I could not have been more grateful for his help. He then sent me a photo of the cake and it was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. My great aunt was so surprised and had a wonderful birthday and I owe it all to Shoprite of Derby. Thank you to the Bakery Department and Hasan for your amazing customer service, kindness and compassion!!!!"

"Very clean and lots of variety. Did you know you can buy a whole lobster and they will boil it for free right there, ready to go in 15 minutes? Lobster rolls for dinner, yummy!"
