Reviews of Love Fashion Nails
"I'm very happy with Dan who does my nails. There has been changes here, but for the better."
"Long review, but useful: Friendly service is not something that you will see here. I patronized this salon for over 2 yrs. The owner, Sophia, shifts between customers. I've asked her respectfully not to do that, to which she was still non compliant. She has messed up on my nail polish several times. She needs to be told to do cuticles and to make your nail shape and size even. I bared with her because I was a loyal customer for a long time. My last straw with her is when she told me that she prefers cash over cc, because of bank fees. Ok, no problem. I told her via text (because I didn't want anyone else to hear) that I don't have enough in cash to tip her, therefore, I can either tip her via cc or tip her double on my next visit. She chose to be tipped on the next visit. On the next appt, she made a loud announcement in front of several customers and workers how I didn't tip her the last time and she felt underappreciated by me. I was so humiliated, but I didn't say anything because I didn't want a public confrontation, so I let it go until later. A few hrs later, i texted her telling her that was unprofessional what she did. She told me that she doesn't understand what I'm saying all of a sudden. I let it go again, due to I was trying to be loyal after so long patronizing her. I gave her one last chance which was 2 wks ago. Both she and her husband, Michael, didn't say not one word to me, not even a hi or goodbye. Saying hi/goodbye/thank you doesn't take much effort. I felt super uncomfortable being there. it was a very long 2 hrs. Super rude! I showed her a picture of what I'm looking to get done. she messed up on my design, put one design on middle finger on one hand and on pointer finger on the other hand. She then proceeded to try to convince me that it looks fine and she doesn't have time to fix it, when she was the one who made the mistake! Two days after the nail appt, I checked my bank statement and she added herself an extra 25% tip to my card that I didn't even authorize! Shady! Greed and unprofessional is just an understatement. Never again. Stay away from this salon!"
"I went at 1pm today for a powder dip and a pedicure. A nice young man did my pedicure and did an excellent job. He did not do my powder dip, as the older man there said he was the only one to do it. I had to wait 40 min before I could get my nails done after my pedicure because he was the only my one doing nails. He filed very roughly, even my skin. I told him he was hurting me, and he said ok. The dip color was all over my cuticles, he did not dust it in between. The glue enamel was all over my fingers. After he was done dipping them, he applied the liquid that sets it. He use the power filer to buff them, and in some places he went too much and the color is missing. Afterwards, I washed my hands, and the color was still around my cuticles and glue was all over my skin. He then proceeded to take out the cuticle nippers (not legal in NYS) and try to clip it off my skin. I told him no way was he doing that. I paid for the services, and I only tipped the other young man. There was dust from filing other customers before me, it was everywhere. It was not clean at all. There were finger nails all over the floor. The metal nail clippers and tools were not in a disinfecting drawer or anything. They were face up in Barbicide. Who knows how long the Barbicide has gone without changing. Disgusting. I was there for over 2 hours. They leave you sitting and waiting, there aren’t enough people working. About an hour after I came home, my index fingernail had cracked and split. I will be going tomorrow to show them and have them soak all of the color off each nail and try to get some money back. Not a happy experience, and I will not be going back. The board of health needs to inspect this place."
"The ladies are fabulous, and the shop is nice and clean. Can walk in and get service within 15 mins max. They assisted my elderly parents into and out of the pedicure chairs, and getting their shoes and socks on and off as well. Highly recommend this shop for your nail and massage needs."
