"Heard about Hot Murga from my brother & I've been meaning to try out some CT pizza so I put this place on my list too. It was def worth the drive out from NYC. We went on a Sunday, there was plenty of street parking available. Very clean place, bathroom was nice too. I had murga masala sandwich with mild heat. It was a burst of yummy Indian flavors especially mint chutney. I also tried the badmaash mac & cheese which also had that yummy Tikka masala sauce on it. I've never had chicken with Mac before & surprisingly it made for a great combo. I highly recommend this place."
"I've been on a major Hot Chicken kick lately after having taken a trip to Nashville. I heard about this place and thought I'd give it a try when I happened to be in New Haven around lunch. I really enjoyed the fusion of the Indian flavors and spices in the hot chicken and fries. I had the hot chicken sandwich, and it was very good in terms of flavors although the chicken was sort of crunchier than I would have liked. Crispy, yes, but there was a hard crunch to the exterior. Not sure if this one was a little overcooked but anyway it was still delicious. The Masala fries were also very tasty. Lots of flavor on them."
"I had a great dining experience at Hot Murga. I tried three dishes, and each one impressed me. The Badmaash Fries were a perfect blend of crispy fries topped with chicken, pickles, and sauce, a truly mouthwatering treat. The Ginger Lavender Lemonade was a refreshing surprise, with zesty lemonade infused with ginger and lavender, making it a satisfying and unique beverage. I really loved it. Lastly, the Cardamom Ice Cream was a perfect sweet ending to my meal. They have a creative menu."
"Ordered this for delivery: the chicken looks really good and comes out looking great, like a photo. The chicken itself is very juicy - the murga seasoning though is somewhat like adding curry on top of the chicken, the sauce isn't really integrated with this chicken in the way a Nashville style hot chicken should be. The fries have a bit of batter on them. The waffle is very chewy (in a good way) with a nice hit of cardamom. Overall, it's pretty solid, the waffles and fries are a bit over priced and the signature sandwich with the sauce and all the toppings, it just doesn't feel very integrated. Feels more like when you go to five guys and order a bunch of toppings and they all happen to be on the same sandwich."
