"A little bit ago I went here for the first time and omg!!! The food was too good. I’m talking about oxtails falling off the bone! The rice was cooked perfectly too. The food was fresh and barely was any wait time. On top of that the staff were so friendly and sweet. I didn’t see anyone there without a smile. There were also these really dope paintings on the wall."

"This is the worst one to go to. I took lunch at 12:30 pm. im still waiting on my food, and all I ordered was a jerk chicken empanadas. It's going on 12:50 pm. still no food, they used my card, and now I just can't get a simple refund. I WOULD NEVER ORDER FROM THE ONE ON NEW BRITAIN AVE. So unprofessional the workers don't care I mean if you're going to open up that many restaurants at least have reliable employees working them I wasted my whole lunch waiting on food that if I was to just go to a simple Bodega or Spanish restaurant for a simple empanada they wouldn't have never took this long I guess that's why you shouldn't be selling empanadas at a Jamaican restaurant leave it to my Spanish people y'all can never keep up. This is what I had waited for this burnt ugly Empanada I wasted my whole lunch to get this burnt empanada I am so disappointed wasted $15 for what I could have went to another restaurant this was very very disappointing"

"As a vegan, it can be challenging to find options in the area. The Russell nailed it! We had the vegan empanadas, 2 vegan burgers, and a vegan chicken sandwich option. The flavors were amazing and everything is made super fresh! The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about their vegan options. We ate at one of their outdoor tables and they came to make sure we had a great experience. We will be back and I highly urge everyone (vegan or not) to check this place out. They have something for everyone and truly capture the Caribbean with their service and unbelievable homemade dishes!"

"Ive had nothing but fantastic experiences when visiting the grab and go Russell. Extremely friendly service when you arrive (unlike interactions in most Jamaican establishments sadly) The menu has a ton to offer and the service is quick. I’m a big fan of their Brown stew chicken and Mac and cheese. For $12, the medium is just enough for me during lunch. I love that they offer healthier options such as the salmon, vegan chunks and salads. I definitely recommend them if you’re in the area or they pop up on you’re favorite takeout app."
