"Today is Saturday when most nail salons are open, right? I was staying at the Marriott next door. Sign says open and hours posted on door. Woman came to locked door, "said yes we're open but you don't have an appt and you have to make appointment." It would have made sense to have appointment only. Now I feel like maybe she just didn't want to serve me."

"For many years I have had good experiences at the WHartford Silk Nails, however, my first (and only) experience at Silk Nails was a disaster. First, the technician cut both of my big toe nails too short. It actually hurt when she cut them and continued to hurt for over a week. She and her colleagues were laughing and having conversations that were at an inapproriate sound level for patrons who were attempting to relax, read, or check messages. I do believe I received such a poor quality pedicure because my technician was too busy socializing and not paying attention to what she was doing. When I got home, I also realized that the technician missed painting parts of a few nails. I've never posted a poor review of any business establishment (and I'm 62) until today!"

"Nice of them to squeeze me in, but terrible job. A paid for a gel manicure, it seems they did not actually manicure my hands. She simply filed my nails then proceeded to paint. Did not paint the nails well at all- I did not like the way they looked when I walked away, and now it is only 3 days later and ALL my gel has come off my hands except my thumbs. Total waste of my money."

"My mom and I went to get a pedicure and manicure yesterday. Since the moment we got in they were talking to themselves, not a single word to us. Our pedicures were horrible. Some of our toenails weren’t even cut and they didn’t fix any callous. My mom had one of her foot toenails painted 5 times because they weren’t even paying any attention to their job. My mom’s manicure was a horrible job too. Before we choose our color she tried some of the nail polishes and the lady didn’t even bother to remove them before painting her nails. They didn’t even touch the cuticles. Never again will we go to this place. The pictures are just one day after getting them done."
