"I just want to express my disappointment from the other day. My boyfriend and I first visited this place a few weeks ago and we absolutely loved it. Not only did we love it but we raved about it to everyone we know. And have heard of those people going! We went back again on a holiday Monday. After extensively looking at the website I decided to call the restaurant just to double check that Happy hour was still happening since it didn’t say otherwise online or on social media. They told me yes that Happy hour was still on that day. When we arrived, during our drink order they told us that there was no happy hour. I was very upset and it ruined the whole evening. I had made sure to call and get an answer which was yes and the waitress didn’t even try to ask a manager to see if they would honor it. I have the call-log of me calling and staying on the line with whoever answered. Since we raved about this place so much to our guest who we brought, we didn’t want to just leave. So we stayed but of course with paying not the happy hour price. Please let me know if there is any thing I can provide to resolve this issue. Thank you. I also sent this to the messages on the website twice and have yet to hear back from anyone."

"Living in Fairfield, we have a handful of regular places we either go out to eat or get take out from, and Malibu is right there on top of the list. We've been eating here for years, and I am constantly impressed with quality and flavors of the food. The few times we came here to eat, whether its with 6 people or 2 people, we always had exceptional service. The restaurant is also very cool inside, and on a nice warm day, has plenty of outdoor seating. One of my favorites is the Marinated Ahi Tuna rice bowl (ponzu marinated chopped tuna, guac, scallions, sesame oil, toasted sesame seeds, spicy cucumbers, blueberries, miso-lime vinaigrette). But honestly, everything on the menu is good. My daughter is partial to the pork belly tacos. Highly recommend either for family meal or a night out with friends (drink menu is great too!)"

"When I came here in 2019 the tacos tasted better and were cuter with pink tortillas. When I came back maybe the chef forgot the recipe because the tacos were so different. The decor is nice and good for photo ops. I added the old photos so you can see the difference too."
