"I've had a few items here and they were all passable until recently. I ordered a 1/2 of brisket and was very disappointed. It was grey as if old/steamed. It was tender and rendered but the grey was unattractive. It was also sliced way too thin (like deli meat thin) and the fat cap was clearly not trimmed enough as there was a thick fat ring around the edge of each slice."

"I really wanted to like this as it’s so close to home. Overall, smoked food had no smoke flavor, and most of the food was under seasoned. Good bbq shouldn’t need sauce. Ok, now the details… Brisket was grey like it was steamed, just the flat (no point), no smoke ring, tough, and flavorless. Pulled chicken was dry and no flavor. Pork belly burnt ends were decent. Brisket empanadas were delicious. These alone are worth the visit. Mac and cheese was also good; street corn was good, but lacked salt."

"The brisket was tough, dry and lacked flavor. Pulled pork was standard, not special, but better then the brisket. Sauces, cornbread, mac and cheese and the street corn salad were better then the meats. I will give them another chance since they are new and hope this wasn’t indicative of the regular experience. I don’t think CT has the best BBQ but was hoping this would be a step above other competitors in the area but on this try it fell short."

"Bit of a mixed experience. The wings were phenomenal, the Mac & cheese and Dirt Cake were both also very solid, but the brisket & ribs were a bit tough and the corn salad was only so so. The price is on the higher side (similar to a lot of BBQ) and they're only open limited hours. It's worth a try, but maybe lean towards the wings, Mac, and dirt cake."
