"We had my birthday celebration this past Saturday. My husband made a reservation a few weeks ago just to make sure we have a nice table next to the fireplace. My family came from NYC to celebrate with us. My husband and I ordered a tomahawk steak for two, and my sister, brother in law and mom ordered a chicken dish. After the first bite the entire table went quiet. The food was so awful! The steak was chewy and veiny, the portion itself was small. You would think for a hefty price of $150 you would get a nice testy steak, you could actually enjoy. The worst was dish my family got, chicken. It was so salty, they couldn't even finish while drinking gallons of water. It was so disappointing, we will never go back there. Do not waste your money, go somewhere else, at least you can be certain you will enjoy your food."

"We dined at the Millpond Steakhouse, which has a very different menu from the tavern, and had a fabulous experience from the waitstaff that was amazing and welcoming, to the food that was delicious and cooked to perfection. "My fiancé and I visited Millpond for our anniversary because we had heard such great things! We were seated in a cozy spot in the steakhouse next to the fireplace, and it was probably one of the most romantic settings we’ve had out of our anniversary dinners. I’m usually pretty picky about popovers, but these were by far the best I’ve had! Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and the creamed spinach was a delicious side. The appetizer of the hanging bacon was fantastic, but we unfortunately didn’t really enjoy the short rib dumplings - I think the bbq sauce made it an odd combo for us. Dessert of the Belgian waffle sliders was a great end to the meal! Service was very attentive, and the meal moved fairly quickly. I would love to come back in the summer and sit outside!"
