"A Connecticut fast-food classic. Fantastic hot dogs, which is something surprisingly difficulty to find at a restaurant. Large menu including a variety of dogs, burgers, sausage burgers, and various other grilled items. Clean dinning room and quick service. I went at 1:00PM and there was no line."

"My new favorite hit dog I grew up in Chicks in west Haven and jimmies and Glenwood in Hamden, but they've either gone out of business or prices themselves out This small postage stamp of a place is just a perfect little roadside gem."

"Got a chili dog. I asked if the chili was spicy and they said not too spicy. They gave me a little sample. It had a kick but not bad. I got it. Half way through eating it the spice was getting stronger and stronger. I took most of it off. Finished it. Frankies has best hot dogs around. Next time I will get it with sauerkraut or peppers and onions."

"I didn’t expect to enjoy this place so much. It was really good. Inside is so clean and cute. The food was good; lots of good, inexpensive options. My daughter’s grilled cheese was so good! I hate buying grilled cheese because I think it’s cheese and bread, anyone can do it. This grilled cheese was VERY good though. The girls at the counter were very nice and helpful. I couldn’t decide if I wanted mustard on my whole hot dog, but there’s a little condiment bar so I could pick and choose lol"
