"As someone who’s really big on customer service, I’ll say this place has a long way to go. I went there for the first time last weekend and witnessed the barber in the first chair (who’s usually the owner, or manager in these settings) giving a haircut to a younger 20 something guy. In the middle of cutting this kids hair, someone walked in with a food delivery for the barber. He took his food delivery and left the kid sitting on the chair in the middle of cutting his hair to go sit in the corner and EAT A FREAKIN SANDWICH! While eating he preceded to tell the other barbers how good is bacon egg and cheese sandwich was. After finishing he delicious meal he went right back to cutting the kids hair without washing his hands or anything. I was both amused and confused at the same time. Apart from that I will say everyone is extremely nice when engaging with the customers walking in. My haircut took really long, almost 50 mins, because the barber I sat with (really nice guy) kept paying attention to his phone more than the session. The prices in this particular barbershop are the lowest and the best in the area. The haircut itself was just decent for my liking. I didn’t like the lineup on my beard at all, he actually did exactly what I asked him not to do on my beard. I contribute that to a language barrier, as the gentleman didn’t speak too much English. Based on the pictures and other reviews I saw, I’m sure the other barbers have a better skill set. I have a rule when trying to barbershops, never sit in the last chair, because that’s usually where the least barber is set up. But after watching the first barber eat an entire sandwich in the middle of a session, then being told he gentleman in the last chair was the only barber available at the time, I honestly just wanted to get my cut and leave. I’ve lived in Harrison for two years now and after trying 5 or 6 other shops, I’m still looking for my permanent barber shop. I would totally come back to this spot to give them another chance with a different barber, but only after I try the other locations in the area. My search continues."
