Archie Moore's New Haven

"Very high quality pub fare. The wings, while available in many types, were Buffalo for us. Legitimate quality wings. French onion soup was solid. The staff could not have been nicer. Wish they were in my town. Saw a very nice beer list as well. Couple next to us had the bbq special which looked epic."

"When I first moved to CT Archie Moore's was considered the place to go for their legendary wings. Until this very day I cannot say there was ever a time that I was ever impressed as their wings are fried well , however, are flavorless and are practically naked although it's supposed to be the traditional buffalo. Over the weekend I decided to give it another try thinking perhaps things may have changed. Nope, it is still the same flavorless wings with hardly any sauce on it. Honestly, I should not have to ask for more sauce on buffalo wings. ANY professional cook ought to know how buffalo wings are supposed to look. Other than that, they do happen to make a great buffalo chicken dip in my opinion. Good customer service is definitely present in that establishment."

"Not many places carry the spirit of New Haven upon every visit, quite like the OG Archie Moore's. There is something about people with good food, good drink and friendly staff that always makes this place seem like a family get together (but just the family members that you like)."

"4.5. Great neighbourhood pub with good vibes and good food. The wings were the highlight- definitely order them. They were crispy and saucy and cooked well. Also ordered some burgers- you can get any burger with Beyond Meat (great for vegetarians) and also as a “skinny” in lettuce and with a side of vegetables. Next time I’ll ask for no A-1 sauce - personal preference but read about the sauces they add because they will be all over the burger so make sure you like them. The Cajun fries are also great! Server was friendly and checked-in. Lots of other food options on the menu - very accessible for vegetarians. There is patio seating and a big back room as well. Three different sports were playing on the television screens- so definitely something for everyone. Good selection of beers!"

"I dined here the weekend of July 1 & this place hasn't missed a beat! Very nostalgic, neat and clean with attentive, friendly service. Sat right in the bar, window seat which was nice on a beautiful day. The food was great. Comfort food. The apps were spot in, wings phenomenal and my steak sandwich was delicious. If you're looking for a simple, easy place to eat visit A.M. you won't be disappointed."
