"It's a quaint/small space, but the food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The portion sizes for appetizers are big and enough where you don't even need an entree. The crispy ribs and chicken tenders were A-Grade, and fresh off the grill. Staff were friendly and it was a great spot for a Saturday afternoon. 10/10!"

"It was nice, there are three different areas you can sit, either outdoors at picnic tables to see live music, a much appreciated quieter dining room, and the more lively bar section. Our food came out quickly and multiple servers all checked on us often to make sure we were happy and had everything we wanted. I ordered 24 wings total and enjoyed the Doob wings, Buffalo, and Garlic Parmeasan wings and was happy."

"Original review did not allow me to add a half star. This is my go to place in North Haven. Place was renovated over a year ago, and the outside covered patio (very large) was expanded too and will have bands on the warm weekends. You really cannot go wrong with any of their food. They are known for their "Doobs" chicken wings which get finished off on the grill. The are awesome! Great burgers too."

"Hard hat is a child hood haunt for me. When it was called the Black Stallion, food was great and the set back games were always happening. Friday nights were great times had by all, the place was always packed. Ahhh the good ole days.. Went to Hard Hat for drinks and snacks, with friends and it was good, as usual."
