"Loved the experience. Our waitress was the sweetest and was very patient as we decided what to order. The ambiance also provided a chill place for my family and I to eat. The masala fries were definitely a favorite!!"
"I've eaten House of Naan many times through a delivery service in the past and it has been my favorite Indian restaurant for a while. Tonight was the 1st time I have eaten at the restaurant and am now convinced it is the best I have ever had. The Tika Masalla fries were AMAZING, the garlic Naan was cooked perfectly. Crust with a delightful crisp crunch and a perfect spread of garlic. Henry the bartender was pleasant, knew the menu and never let my drink go dry. Great experience from the time I walked in the door."
"A friend recommended this place, mentioning that the mixed biryani here would be amazing. My friend and I entered around 8 pm, finding the restaurant half-filled. After a few minutes, a waiter asked if we had a reservation. I replied, "No," and he loudly insisted that we wait by the door for someone to show us seats, rather than allowing us to walk in and sit. While I understand the reservation policy, the way he spoke with such arrogance was not appropriate for customer service. Eventually, he allowed us to stay but warned us to wait by the door next time. My impression of this place plummeted at that moment. Despite this, I hoped the food would redeem the experience. We ordered the 65 Howe (chicken) and the house biryani. The 65 Howe was good but not the best, with a quantity sufficient for one person. The house biryani, anticipated as the hero of the night, disappointingly arrived in a small bowl barely sufficient for one person. As we served ourselves and began eating, There are 3-4 pieces of shrimp, chicken, and lamb each. The taste was not enjoyable, with the meat pieces lacking flavor and resembling tasteless meat. I wondered if my friend had recommended this restaurant based on online reviews or if he had truly eaten here. Overall, my experience was terrible, and I do not plan to return to this restaurant, nor would I recommend it to anyone."
"Really good food and atmosphere! We went for a birthday and it was a great time. Our server was super helpful and had great recommendations. We got the paneer tikka masala, saag paneer, dal makhani, samosa chaat, garlic naan, tandoori roti, and mango lassi. It was all amazing! Hands down the best Indian food we've had in CT!"
"We had always heard that House of Naan had some of the best Indian food in New Haven, and now that we’ve had the chance to try it for ourselves, we definitely have to agree! It’s definitely in the top 5 Indian restaurants we’ve tried in the state as well. No frills, with all of the classics you could want on the menu, prepared authentically and tasting delicious. I really loved the naan basket especially! All of the food came out quickly and was just so good. I would absolutely come back again the next time I’m craving Indian food!"
