"Greetings! I hope this is received amicably. I’ve been a resident at the apartments next door to this business since 2013. I’ve never had any issues with the owner and thought it was great to see support from the business’ sign, “Black Lives Matter,,” I assumed the awareness of cultural competence. While I know the owner is not responsible for the views and actions of her students’ parents , I would have to say it reflects poorly on the theater when these parents come into the community with entitled attitudes. For example, the parent/guardian that I blew at because I was in a rush, and I do admit was being inpatient, please consider in the future how and WHY you approach people. From my experiences and views, if I had approached someone in THEIR residential garage at their parked car, because they honked at me, I would not expect that to be a positive interaction. Also, experiences have taught me that it would not rule in my favor, if authorities were to intervene. I am educated in cultural competence, therefore did BRIEFLY ponder over why she would approach me about this ? All I could conclude is maybe she expected an apology or maybe it was so Important for her to have her words heard, no matter the situation. With this in mind I became irate, as I realized someone from most likely a different socioeconomic class would feel so entitled to come into my residential garage, to make sure I know what they have to say or expect an apology. Devils advocate, maybe she did intend this to be a positive interaction as she changed her attitude when met with mine and said “we both live in Ossining.” I’m assuming this was an attempt to at a “we’re all the human race” again the lack of cultural competence. Again, I understand the business is not responsible for parents’ actions and views. I appreciate the cultural competence and respect the business has displayed thus far, hopefully this will eventually extend to the parents."

"Theater O provides a unique educational experience for kids, and gives them a place where they can unleash their creativity in a friendly, engaging, collaborative environment. The instructors nourish a safe setting that manages to capture kids interest and enthusiasm. In an age of pervasive digital distractions, I find Theater O offers a particularly valuable experience, allowing kids to socialize, vocalize, interact, and with other kids. My son absolutely loves this place, and so do I!"
