"We stopped here for a quick late lunch. Onion soup was very good. The restaurant is very clean, and decorated very nice. It made me feel as though I was in PA in Amish country! I ordered a wonderful, delicious salad as I am gluten-free. Very satisfying. My daughter ordered the Reuben. I would eat here again if I was in the area."
"The one star is not for the food, it was for the rude server that we had. Long story short, don’t come here if you’re in a large group with some cultural differences. You will not be given good service. We traveled from Virginia to support our family member who played on the football game this weekend. We heard this place was good for food and with a good price. They were right. However, it already started when we walked in to sit down. The stares, the looks, and the negative comments under their breath. It honestly felt like this town wasn’t big enough for the 10 of us. We had to sit at two different tables because we were a large party. Our server rarely even offer any services to one of our tables. After some time, she put on that “fake it till you make it” mentality and played her part as a server. Upon ordering, she failed to inform of any up charges to any meals. She also made it feel rushed to order. How many times did she come to see if we were okay? Less than 5 times in the 45+ minutes we were here. Furthermore, not once did she come back for refills. My mouth was so dry that the Sahara Desert looked moist. She also did not even ask how the check would be split. The worst part is, twice she celebrated openly amongst her coworkers that we were gone. Twice she did that! I don’t care if it’s Jaba the Hut or Darth Maul, a server must have proper customer service at all times. I know this from experience since I was a restaurant manager for well over a year; and this was after working in the restaurant industry as a server for more than a year; and that’s as a marine veteran. Some servers do not deserve that built in gratuity tip. She was definitely one of them. Unfortunately, I do not think my family is coming back to this establishment. It was not a good first-time experience, but hey, at least the food was good."
"It's definitely a restaurant with an Older/Generational crowd, very low key for a spot that serves alcohol early morning and with me working 3rd shift that's the kind of spot I'm looking for after I punch out at 7am. The food is definitely delicious, I've been here several times and I haven't had a bad thing to say about the place at all. Fast service, amazingly kind waitresses and a good amount of parking. I would recommend it for sure."
"True American diner/family restaurant style! It’s a fun and friendly place that’s welcoming to all groups from families to couples. Their menu and specials will make anyone happy. Large generous portions will fill your belly. The clearly fresh, clean, and scrumptious food that is brought out is a treat. Good coffee too. Another plus is that they have good prices too. We enjoyed coming here with friends, felt comfortable, and will definitely come back and bring more people."
"Finally went to this long-standing restaurant with my partner that knew this place from his neighborhood. Extensive menu. Nice waitress. They have a bar for staff to make drinks for patrons but it's not a sit down room. We ordered a rum and club soda and Sapphire gin with tonic. For food, we had stuffed mushrooms that were average, an eggplant grinder which was crispy and fresh, and a grilled chicken sandwich without cheese that did not stand out to me. Perhaps it was a seasoning choice but my partner happily ate the other half the next day with added cheese. Large breakfast menu for those looking for eggs, pancakes, etc. Lunch and dinner choices abound with specials. I like a place that offers stuffed trout. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. Locals will keep it going for as many years as they want to stay open."
