"I’ve been excited to try this place ever since I saw the coming soon sign! They did a great job of remodeling the location and created a very welcoming and comfortable upscale ambience. The food is authentic Acapulco style cuisine and is def not a typical American Mexican restaurant that you might be used to. This food is high quality, well cooked and presented, and VERY tasty. I ordered the Filet Mignon and it was delicious! The prices are very reasonable and I will definitely be going back (several times)"

"I have just enjoyed an early dinner at Casa Valijo for the first time at their soft opening, and it was a great experience! The remodeling on the venue is really nicely decorated. The service was very sweet and attentive. Our food was delicious, I ordered the filet mignon and it was so flavorful and tender! The menu is geared more to a fine dining authentic Acapulco cuisine, you won’t find tacos and burritos on it- which was a pleasant surprise as I prefer this type of dining experience anyway. I can’t wait to go back and support this new business, bringing a high class experience to Torrington."
