"First, be warned, not all food is available upon walk-in. Most entrees have to be ordered in advance, cook-to-order, which was a shame as I was seeking callaloo & saltfish. However we adjusted, and selected from the ready-made food, which included jerk chicken, curry goat, brown stew chicken, patties, etc. The curry goat was well cooked-- a little light on the curry but tender & flavorful, & I appreciated the extra gravy over my rice. The patty & cabbage were fine, but the collards were inedible-- we all tasted it. Waaay too spicy. Like, kill dead spicy."

"Everything from the service to the food was exceptional! I placed my order in advanced (4hours prior to pick up) over the phone and the service I received was exquisite. The gentleman was very kind and friendly, despite my complicated order. His personality even made my day better over the phone! When I arrived to pick up my food, the women behind the counter were so very sweet and welcoming. My food was HOT and ready on time. I’m a big fan of Jamaican food and the flavor, textures, and aromas of Green Island food was superb. I was beyond impressed with the entirety of my experience. I greatly look forward to my next meal here!! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant among many in the greater Danbury area! You will not be disappointed!"

"Not what I expected from a jamaican restaurant. Nothing beats New York style Jamaica restaurants they put flavor and spice in their food. I paid almost 20dollars for a patty a piece of Easter cheese and banana chips. I will make sure I get my food from New York next time."
