"Waited 17 minutes for two basic burgers, then the 40 minutes drive home to realize that someone decided to cram some spicy pickled peppers in both burgers, which makes them uneatable for my kids. Turned out it was my fault, I chose smokesomething at the machine and it ended up being spicy. Maybe it was shown somewhere in the description, but I didn't see it. A small bonus would have been if my burgers didn't look like someone was practicing horseshoe throwing when assembling them. Burgers that look like round things stacked on other round things, not like stairs with barely overlapping round steps. But I guess it comes with the territory"

"Worst location of shake shack as many reviews have said… placed an online order at 12:28 and expected it to be picked up at 1pm like it says online. Then told “we don’t have your order” and after arguing with them and showing them it on my end they said “oh wait it just popped up and to give them a few minutes.” It is now after 1pm and I am still waiting for my food… I only ordered two things mind you. Staff is also clearly talking badly about customers"

"Burger was too dry and super small for the price. I also tried their Asian inspired chicken sandwich, and it was mediocre. The shakes are still good, hence at least one star for food. At the Danbury location, the ordering stations are right by the entry and exit doors, so when customers are waiting to order it becomes overcrowded, as other customers are trying to exit the establishment. It felt like a safety issue to me."

"Had a good experience at this Shake Shack! Not as great at some of the other Shake Shacks I’ve been to (one in Darien), but overall solid. If it’s your first time, the prices may surprise you! It’s not fast food like I first thought. Get the hot chicken sandwich!"

"Our first time at a shack ever and very disappointed! The food was very over cooked and sad tasting. I crunched on burnt pieces more so then actual meat. The hot dogs were burnt, dry, and rubber like. We set our pick up time and arrived maybe 5 minutes after receiving the text, and the women yelled across the room what is the name, handed us our stuff then shut the window. We were missing the ketchup and napkins I requested online and the shakes were melted and warm. I'm not sure when they received our order from my actual chosen pick up time, but the food and drinks were for sure sitting for a while. I wasted money, we ended up throwing out our food and going elsewhere to eat."
