"Want to take a moment to praise Isaac from River Three Barber Shop on River Street. Our son is 3 and on the Autism Spectrum. He is a a firecracker and needless to say, isn't the easiest to settle down to do much of anything, let alone cut his hair. He is mainly non-verbal at this point, so it is hard to communicate with him what is happening (ie haircuts, doctors and other appointments). We were recommended to Isaac by our sons preschool teacher and it was the best recommendation we have ever had. Isaac sat with us to learn about Howie, he observed Howie to see what makes him tick. He was beyond patient, understanding, calming, and did I say patient? Not just with our son, but with an anxious mom. He didn't just stop at cutting it and letting it be, he shaped it, and spent time giving him an actual haircut which to my husband and I never thought could happen (at least any time soon). I cannot praise Isaac and his wife Jackie for the time, effort, patience and kindness they extended to us. We have found a lifelong barber for our son. Thank you so much."

"Today we brought our baby boy in for his first haircut with Isaac & he was absolutely incredible. From start to finish, Isaac made the appointment all about our son and making sure he felt comfortable. He let him sit in the chair, spin around, touch anything he wanted to. He made sure he went though every clipper he had so he knew what the sounded like and felt like, even let him press the buttons. We were able to save a piece of his hair too, that Isaac showed us how to preserve. I am blown away by how kind & gentle Isaac was with our son (and us!), not to mention the cutest little haircut ever!!! The booking process was so easy and speaking with Jackie, she reassure me in so many ways that it made my mama heart at ease going for the first time. "I just need to share that Isaac at River Three Barbershop has a literal gift. My incredibly anxious three year old who is terrified of having his haircut will let Isaac cut his hair. When we went in for a touch up today, my son was scared to go inside. Isaac (I think jokingly) asked my kid if he wanted his hair cut outside and my son said yes! So Isaac said OK, and went inside to get the scissor and comb. As Isaac is inside my son says “mommy I’m not going to cry anymore I am going to be so brave” and he happily let Isaac cut his hair.
