Red Rock Cafe Restaurant 591 Middle Turnpike, Mansfield, CT 06268

"We went to a UConn game and because of location and convenience we chose Red Rock specifically because of their extensive wing selection. We ordered calamari and it was definitely mediocre. We ordered a decent size portion of wings, extra crispy. They came out NOT crispy and not very flavorful. Our friends got the boneless wings, which I would recommend those over the bone in wings. Everything was just mediocre. They charged 1.50 per cup of ranch/blue cheese and the cups were SMALL, not even enough for the regular order. I would say a less than average experience but maybe we tried the wrong menu items. Our bill was close to 100 dollars for 2 people and that’s without alcoholic drinks."

"Love the wings, but when I order 25 boneless I can never order just 5 plain wings unless I spend extra $7. Otherwise it gets divided by three with the other two flavors and you end up with more of plain than we need. Figure spending $57 you could have them put five a side. Instead you have to spend $64 to have that."

"When we go grab our boy from UConn or visit, we normally will stop in this establishment. The food is great & the portions are a decent size. Staff always very polite. It's nice to not be in a high traffic area like the other restaurants in downtown UConn."

"I had an excellent dinner. The food came out very quick and was delicious. The menu is very extensive and has a lot of vegetarian options. Our server was attentive. However, we did have to wait for more water and our bill. We did also meet a micro celebrity!!! I recommend you come here!!"

"We stopped by to check out their Happy Hour Specials. The Margaritas were good and worth the $6. The appetizers, well honestly we could have done without. The nachos were a bit of a joke. There was a smattering of meat, if that. The pic of them shows exactly how they were served. The fries with mozzarella cheese and bacon, please don't get. The fries were soggy and the "bacon" really was something you'd scoop out of a jar. Overall, the quality of the food is what was disappointing, as well as the cleanliness of the bar area. I was watching the bartender take out the wine glasses to serve wine, and I can clearly see fingerprints and smudge marks on them. That's how they came off the shelf. There were flies..many of them landing g all over the rims of the glasses as well. Not a clean place. I will stop right there. I'm sorry Red Rock, I tried."
