"By far the least professional hair dresser I’ve been to. The reason I tried them out is because they have a Groupon. When I got there they made me return my Groupon so that I could pay them through Venmo .. long story short I never got my refund so now I’m working with my bank to get my money back. Second, the Groupon was for balayage or highlights and the woman was trying to push me into highlights (easier process) and I kept telling her no I want balayage because you can see the roots easily with highlights… she then did my balayage but didn’t go near the root, basically covered the color that I have.. After that a woman came in with a Groupon and was explaining that she made an appointment with someone and apparently that person wasn’t there and the woman doing my hair was terrible to her. She eventually FaceTimed her boss and said she would do her hair for an extra $80 because it was long … it wasn’t much longer than mine… I was pretty disgusted by that but kept a happy face and tried to get out of there as fast as possible (left with wet hair by choice lol). I went about two weeks ago…"

"Very nice and friendly women working at 495 Salon. Patricia is very experienced at what she does with hair. I had got hair foiling and a hair cut. My hair turned out so nice. I'm very happy with my new look. The place is also very clean and nicely decorated."

""Bad Haircut & Purple Hair Insted of Natural Balayage" I know people typically only leave reviews when they are most upset, however this is to give the public a fair warning to avoid this business at all costs. Looking at reviews for this business, I wish I took Chiara Cortese’s review seriously because I had the same experience. Mistakes do happen but how Patricia, the ‘manager’, handled it was even more appalling, unprofessional, and wrong. The photos shown below do not do it enough justice for how poorly my hair was cut and colored. Patricia was distracted talking to her friends while cutting my own hair, causing the length to not only be way shorter than I asked for but completely uneven (see photo for reference). When asking for a natural balayage, I have never received purple coloring because I didn’t ask for purple (see photo for reference). Patricia attempted to correct this mistake to only have my hair have a ‘lavender’ coloring which in her eyes of being a senior colorist is what a natural balayage should look like. After being in shock of what my hair looked like and asked what Patricia was attempting to do, she fired back claiming she has been in this business for 30 years and put the blame on myself? She said shampoo can potentially clear out this color but why would it even be there in the first place? After spending over 4 ½ hours in this salon, hundreds of dollars and getting results I did not expect or even dream of, Patricia offered zero apology, no professionalism, and zero class. I returned the next day in attempt to correct these mistakes after being told by my family and friends my hair looks like I belonged in a circus. Patricia had the audacity to call me crazy...a paying customer, who was not overreacting, raising my voice, only seeking to get some type of natural hair color back. Please take this review seriously and do not spend your money here. Its nothing short of amazing Patricia still has a license to cut/color hair, especially in Greenwich, CT. I got my hair fixed at Salon Shahin in Stamford, CT, where Marie asked what I actually wanted, walked through the steps on how to fix this mess, and got back to some type of natural color...NOT PURPLE. Buyer beware."

"This salon is a nightmare- I got the worst hair cut I've ever gotten in my life. It is unprofessional, unorganized and the owners- Manny and Patricia are rude and have zero class. After an awful experience getting my haircut- see photos- I called and spoke with a woman who I thought was the owner. She said to come in and that she would take care of it and do whatever I needed to make it right. When I got to the salon she was no longer working there and the owner Manny said that I had to go through Groupon to get my refund. He was rude and said had the nerve to say to me, "you, know, hair grows back." I had issues with Groupon and called back to speak with Patricia who said to come back in and that she would fix it. After reading the reviews on Google I decided that I was not comfortable going back in to have anyone there touch my hair and that I wanted to just let it grow out and get my money back. Another woman, Ursula, called me back and said that she was so sorry and that I did not have to go through Groupon, that she would give me my money back and to call her cell phone whenever. It took me a while to get back in the salon, but when I eventually did it was Patricia who was working and told me there was nothing that she could do. She said that I had to go through Groupon again. Two people there said they would personally give me my money back and two people said that they could not. Additionally, Patricia said that she 1.) did not need me as a customer anyway 2.) belittled me and said my hair looked fine and that I should worry about my color ( which was done by someone else a while ago) because it looked like i "dipped it in bleach." 3.) told me she would call the police on me if I did not leave, and that she has done that to people before... Coincidence that I am not the first person to be asked to leave because I was upset with my experience and it was handled so poorly that she needed to possibly call the cops? This place is truly a mess and beyond unprofessional. Everyone tells you something different, they are rude, insulting and disrespectful and truly don't even care about their reputation. It's pretty sad that these people would rather have $55 than be kind and take responsibility after a terrible experience that left a person having to wait months for their hair to look normal again."
