She is highly trained in Europe and has a unique style of cutting hair. I have fine straight hair. Ayshen has cut it over many years and many styles. It always looks gorgeous and effortless. . Arta excels at creating just the color you want. She listens to what you like and makes it happen."

"I came here in October 2023 to get my highlights retoned. It was an extremely upsetting experience and left me with irreversible results. My stylist was Vasken. I was seated on-time but for some reason he started working on 2 other people's hair, conversing with other customers, didn't say much to me. After 15, I asked reception whether he was running behind because I can reschedule if he is. He came over and asked me how long I thought this visit would take, told me that he needs to get to know my hair and I can't put a time limit on his creativity. Alrighty then. During the appointment - he was promoting the salon products, telling me that I should get a blow dry since an artist needs to see his finished work (this service typically costs $60 extra), he was shouting orders across the salon to his staff, the environment was chaotic. The worst thing is that he did not listen to what I asked for and he was a poor communicator. He ended up applying semi permanent dye (instead of toner) to my hair. I left the salon with harsh black hair, dye stains on my forehead/face, and worse of all my highlights permanently gone (they were fresh 2 month old highlights that cost me hundreds of dollars and 5 hours to achieve). 3 weeks later, another stylist at the salon applied a color stripper to remove as much color as they could but they couldn't save the highlights. They offered to give me new highlights to fix it. However, my hair had been falling out profusely due to over-chemical treatment and I decided against it to preserve the health of my hair and never got it fixed."

"I loved Vasken, both the man and the whole shop! It was my first time there and it was certainly worth the visit. I had been so disappointed with the hairdressers here in NY since I moved here from Istanbul 7 years ago. Today I am so happy to have found this treasure of a place out of which every woman comes out feeling confident and beautiful. It was also a very fun experience with lots of fun stories being shared and tea, coffee served nonstop. I recommend Vasken for coloring, highlights and styling. The best!"
