"Excellent price, quick and gives my 4 year old a great hair cut"

"I really wish I could give this business more stars because the woman was so sweet and the salon was spotless. She works really hard and genuinely wants the customer to be happy. Unfortunately, she also butchered my haircut. I have a fairly standard foundational cut, which I get done in a vintage way without layers or anything and I just needed a trim. She didn't recognize the name, so I offered to pull up some photos or a diagram on my phone, which my previous stylists have really appreciated. She declined and at that point, I should have politely bowed out but alas I stuck around because she was confident that she could tell what was going on by looking. The dead ends did come off, but she really did not know what she was doing and she destroyed the shape of the original cut and then kept asking what else could be done. Honestly, I'm not a hairstylist and if she would have looked at the diagrams I offered, that would have been clear. If she didn't know how to handle that cut, she really should have been honest about it rather than trying to hack away and then ask me if it was correct. The icing on the cake was when I left, she told me to call the cut "an upside-down smile" rather than what it actually is... which completely wipes it of any of the nuances that make it the style that it is, in which the hair is cut a specific way to support certain styling methods. The price was great, but I'd only recommend going for the most basic services and I can safely say I've learned my lesson."

I read reviews of Hawthorne Station Haircuts and decided to take a chance, I'm SO glad I did!! Maria did a great job. She's very quick and the price is VERY reasonable. I will be going back here permanently."
